Meet Dr. Hussman

Karl L. Hussman, MD is a board-certified radiologist with more than 30 years of medical experience. He’s the Director of Imaging Services at Alpha 3T MRI, a leading diagnostic radiology practice located in New York City’s Midtown Manhattan.

As a highly-trained diagnostic radiologist, Dr. Hussman specializes in neuroradiology and musculoskeletal radiology, or body imaging. He provides a complete range of diagnostic imaging services, including advanced diffusion-weighted MRIs for cancer detection and diffusion tensor MRIs for brain imaging.   

Dr. Hussman received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and his medical degree from Chicago Medical School. Upon graduation, he began a residency in diagnostic radiology at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.

After his residency concluded, Dr. Hussman undertook two fellowships. He completed his first fellowship in musculoskeletal/body imaging at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, then went on to complete his second fellowship in neuroradiology at Yale University School of Medicine, where he was honored as Fellow of the Year.  

Dr. Hussman served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Radiology at Yale University School of Medicine for five years, and has published several articles in peer-reviewed medical journals. As an innovator in his field, Dr. Hussman has also invented various patented methods and technologies in radiology.
